The Walking Christ transformed into Resurrection Glory

During Lent we walked with Christ to Jerusalem. Each week there was a reading and prayer and we placed paper footsteps to signify our ‘walking’. Jesus was wearing a purple robe and carrying his cross.

On Easter Day the cross had gone, the robe was white, the crown of thorns had become a diadem and the ‘road’ adorned with flowers.

17 members of the congregation helped Martin with a recent sermon by making letters out of bread to illustrate the sermon. A brilliant way to bring the theme to life!

19th July

When we open ourselves up to God, we find ourselves, like the Prodigal Son, surprised by the embrace of our loving Father.

26th July

As we become … inwardly quiet and let go of the clamour in our brains, our pretences fall away and our false ideas about our own ego lose their power, so that we begin to discover our true selves, made in God’s image.
